Girl Scout Cadettes
Come spend the day with the professional scientists from many different fields and discover the world of Science. This stand alone session brings the pages of the Girl Scout Journey Breathe to the real world and shows how science is such an important part our lives. Explore the science behind air-borne pathogens and second hand smoke, plus much more. Discover the wide variety of science fields available as a career and take part in activities that will have you seeing the air quite differently.
Where: East Jefferson General Hospital, 4200 Houma Blvd., Metairie, LA 70006 Room: Esplanade 1
Cost: $8 per girl
Capacity: Minimum 15/Maximum 50
Registration Opens: September 1, 2011
Deadline: October 1, 2011 or when maximum capacity is reached.

Notes: Due to limited parking, adult participation is limited to Volunteer Essentials adult/girl ratios and transportation needs. No tagalongs. Event will be cancelled if registration minimums are not reached.
