LSU Volleyball Hosts Girl Scouts Purple & Gold Volleyball Clinic

Description:
The LSU Volleyball team will host their annual Purple & Gold Volleyball clinic to kick off the 2012 Volleyball season. Annually this event is a way for young girls to learn about volleyball and have one on one attention with the players. The team and coaching staff will focus on volleyball skills, while also spending time exploring skill building and healthy lifestyle choices. Immediately following the clinic will be a pizza party; followed by the LSU Volleyball Purple & Gold Volleyball Scrimmage at 4:30 p.m. Girl Scouts are encouraged to bring their family members and friends to the scrimmage after the clinic to cheer on the Lady Tigers. Each participant will receive an official LSU Athletics Girl Scout t-shirt and LSU Volleyball poster.

Where: LSU Pete Maravich Assembly Center
Fee: $7 (Includes an official LSU Athletics Girl Scout T-shirt, pizza and drinks, and opportunity to earn an LSU Athletics patch. Not a Girl Scout – not a problem – the membership fee is only $12.00.
Capacity: Minimum 50/Maximum 500
Registration Opens: July 9, 2012
Deadline: August 11, 2012 or when maximum capacity is reached.

Notes: Girls should be dressed in athletic clothing and are welcome to bring knee pads for the clinic. Parents are encouraged to attend the event and also enjoy the LSU Volleyball Purple & Gold Scrimmage, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
