Girl Scout STEM Day featuring St. George Observatory!

Open to girls, grades K – 12
Build and launch your own rocket! Measure/compare water density as you learn the fate of oil, water and sealife during the Deepwater Horizon catastrophe! Program a robot to follow your instructions! View the celestial bodies of the universe during the day and night skies!
All that and more when you join us in Donner, LA and enjoy an afternoon/evening full of science experiments, technology, and engineering marvels as we explore our natural world and search the skies for what lies beyond! You'll use telescopes, microscopes, and plenty of hands-on experiments for everyone. Other participating organizations include Livingston Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory LIGO), SciPort, Society of Women Engineers, and much more!
Where: Terrebonne Parish Donner Community Center, 361 Azalea Dr, Donner, LA 70352
Fee: New Price! $10 per child, $5 per adult. Children 4 and under admitted free. Seniors 65 and older admitted free.
