Journey this summer to Resident Camp 2011!

Journey with us and experience a summer of fun and adventure at Girl Scouts Louisiana East (GSLE) Resident Camp! Our staff has been busy planning exciting programs for you, as campers journey through what "matters" and through "nature"...with sessions encouraging girls to participate in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and outdoor related programs.

Sessions at Camp Marydale and Camp Whispering Pines begin June 5 and end July 15, with four day sessions starting at $190, six day sessions at $275-$325, and two week sessions costing $350-$400. There are also Senior Aide sessions ($125) available for Girl Scout Seniors/Ambassadors as well as Wrangler-In-Training and Counselor-In-Training Sessions starting at $300. Camp Covington is the perfect beginner's camp, with three day sessions costing only $125.

Girl Scout Resident Camp provides girls with a unique opportunity to discover the world around them, to connect with others who share their interests and passions, and to take action in a safe and supervised setting.

Resident camp is a place where the value of living in a community is every bit as important as learning new outdoor skills. Girls learn independence and courage, and return home stronger young women!

We are ready to help them make their experience the best yet. Our diverse, well-trained staff provides campers with a safe, supportive environment in which they can enjoy camp to the fullest.

This year, Girl Scouts will journey through what "matters" at Camp Marydale while learning about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), and working on different science related Try-Its and Badges. At Camp Whispering Pines, they will take a journey through "nature," learning what the outdoors has to offer while working on different outdoor Try-Its and Badges. So whichever camp you choose or better yet - choose both! - we encourage you to take a journey with us!
