Family Staycations 2012
NEW for Summer 2012 - Family Staycations: Instead of flying or driving hundreds or thousands of miles to some distant locale, your staycation will consist of enjoying local restaurants, sights and amenities our camps offer. Our camp director(s) and staff will be onsite each day to facilitate activities - such as, swimming, canoeing, fishing, archery, easy to moderate trails, fitness stations, outdoor games and stargazing. You have the option to sign up for as many activities as you like.
Feel free to come and go off site as you please. Great local excursions include horseback riding stables, Global Wildlife Safari, or our Whispering Pines Rockwall and Zip line.
Each family group will have access to cooking equipment – please provide your own food or eat out locally! We will have staff on hand to help you build a Girl Scout fire to cook out on. You will have access to stoves and refrigerators as well.
The length of your staycation is up to your family. Join us for a 3, 5 or 7 night stay. At a cost of only $45 for a family of five per night with an additional $10 for each extra person per night, staycations at a Girl Scout property are a great alternative to an expensive family vacation.
