Enjoy all the fun of camp without spending the night. Girls get a taste of camp, make new friends and learn new skills. Check out the variety of locations and specialized themes developed and delivered by our regional volunteers.

CSI: Camp Camellia 

When:  Monday, May 26 – Friday, May 30, 2014
Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Slidell, serving girls in Slidell and Pearl River
Ages: All girls entering grades K – 12; Boys (ages 5-12) & Pee-wee (ages 1– 4) units are available for children of full-time camp volunteers.
Fee: $50 – Currently registered Girl Scouts (includes T-shirt); $65 – Non-registered Girl Scouts (includes $15 Girl Scout Membership, good through Sept. 30, 2014);  $20 – Program Aide (includes T-shirt); $10 – Boy’s Unit (adult volunteer’s children only), and $5 – Pee Wee Unit (adult volunteer’s children only). Fees are payable upon registration. ONLY CASH will be accepted. No refunds. Additional discounts available for children of full time camp volunteers (excluding boys and pee wees).
Registration for Current Girl Scouts/volunteers: Please register through your girl’s current troop leader. Priority will be given to registrations received prior to March 1. Everyone attending camp must be registered, including staff, pee wees and boys. The number of trained adult volunteers will determine the maximum number of girls allowed to attend. General Open Registration: Saturday, March 15, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at First Christian Church, 102 Christian Lane, Slidell.

This day camp is being canceled for 2014 due to lack of volunteers, but will begin planning for summer 2015.

When:  Monday, June 16 – Friday, June 20, 2014
Time: Mon – Thurs 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. – 12 noon.
Location: Covington, serving girls in Covington, Folsom, and Abita Springs
Ages: Girls in grades K-4th grade.
Girls who have completed grades 5-8 may serve as Jr. Program Aides, and High School age girls may serve as Program Aides.
Fee: $75 – Currently registered Girl Scout campers (K-4th graders), $90 for non-registered Girl Scout camper (includes $15 GS membership fee)
$40 – Currently registered Girl Scout Campers of full time (M-F 9 am – 3 pm) volunteer
$40 – Jr Program Aides (Must attend DCS program aide training to qualify)
Free – Program Aides (Must attend DCS program aide training to qualify)
$10 – Pee Wee, Lil Camper, Boys – T-shirt fee
Registration for Current Girl Scouts/volunteers: Fees are payable upon registration. Checks payable to Day Camp Sunshine. Registrations must be in by April 30, for priority placement. Price includes camp t-shirt, camp book, camp water bottle, camp patch, all performance fees, and snack each day. Lunch not included. Other Units: PeeWee Unit – provided for children ages 1-3 of day camp volunteers while volunteer is at camp), Lil Campers Unit provided for children ages 4-5 of day camp volunteers while volunteer is at camp) Boys Unit - provided for boys ages 5-12 of day camp volunteers while volunteer is at camp). These units are babysitting services for volunteers while they are at camp. The children do not participate in the Scout program and does not include a patch or snack Send own snack, water bottle, and lunch daily.

Time: 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Location: Covington, serving girls in Covington, Folsom, and Abita Springs
Ages: Girls entering grades 1-6.  Girls entering grades 7-12 may serve as Program Aides.  A Little Campers Unit for children,ages 3-6, of full-time camp volunteers is available.
Fee: $75 – Currently registered Girl Scouts entering 1-3 grade; $90 non-registered girls entering 1-3 grade; $80 – currently registered Girl Scouts entering 4-6 grade; $95 – Non-registered girls entering 4-6 grade (includes $15 Girl Scout Membership, good through Sept. 30, 2014);  $30 – Program Aide (PA training required); $40 – Little Camper’s Unit (children of Full time staff only). Fees are payable upon registration. Checks payable to Day Camp Loblolly. No refunds. Price includes camp t-shirt, camp patch, badge, all program fees, and snack each day. Lunch is not provided.  Please send bag lunch and drinking cup every day.
Registration for Current Girl Scouts/volunteers: Registration must be received by May 1 for priority placement. Camp Aspire “Girl Scouts Around the World”aspire3

When: Tuesday, July 8 – Thursday, July 10, 2014
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Location: Girl Scout Council Headquarters, 841 S. Clearview Pkwy. Jefferson
Ages: Campers: Girls entering grades K –6
Program Aides: Girls entering grades 7-12 (Girls must participate in Program Aide training prior to day camp.)
Fee: Campers: $30 per registered Girl Scout; $45 per non-Girl Scout (This includes $15 Girl Scout membership fee which expires on 9/30/14.) Program Aides: $10. Sorry, no refunds. Camp Aspire is open to registered Girl Scouts only. Sorry, no boys, pee-wees, preschoolers, non-Girl Scout siblings, etc. are allowed.
Registration Opens: Now, on a first come, first served basis.

Days of Discovery – Lafourche

When: Monday, July 14 – Friday, July 18, 2014
Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Thibodaux — Serving Lafourche Parish
Ages: All girls completing grades K – 12; Girls will participate individually, not as a troop. They will be placed in units with other girls of comparable age. Bring a friend! Girls who are not registered Girl Scouts must register at the time of Day Camp Registration. Placement of best friends together not guaranteed.
Fee: $50 per registered Girl Scout, includes camp T-shirt
$65 Non-Girl Scouts (includes $15 membership fee). Does not guarantee placement in a troop. Girls must re-register in the fall.
$25 Program Aides – 8th-12th graders who choose to work camp. Prior completion of Program Aide course encouraged. Additional $15 if not registered Girl Scout member.

Overnight Camp: Monday, July 28 – August 1 (for girls entering 4 – 12 grades)
Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Chalmette
Ages: Girls entering grades K-8th (day camp), girls entering 4-12 (overnight camp).
