When you buy Girl Scout cookies, girls decide where the money goes. Our girls have big hearts and big imaginations, and Girl Scout cookies help bring out the confidence in a girl to turn her dreams into a reality. Through participation in the Girl Scout Cookie Program girls develop five essential skills including goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.

Eight Varieties of Cookies

Costume_ThinMint_000It wouldn’t be Girl Scout Cookie time without favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas, Trefoils, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos, as well as relative newcomers, the Thank U Berry Munch, Dulce de Leche and Savannah Smiles cookies. All cookies are preservative-free, kosher, with zero trans fat per serving.

We’re offering  EIGHT varieties of Girl Scout Cookies!

Gift of Caring

Many Girl Scout troops participate in Gift of Caring, a community service project in which girls encourage customers to buy cookies for donation to a non-profit organization selected by the troop. In 2013 nearly 19,000 boxes of cookies were donated to over 250 local community organizations and non-profits such as the Ronald McDonald House in New Orleans, the Bishop Ott Women and Children’s Shelter in Baton Rouge, local firefighters, police, and hospitals, with a significant number of cookies going to military men and women serving overseas, sending them through organizations like Operation We Care and Blue Star Mothers of LA, as well as to units where Girl Scouts had family members and friends.

Introducing iGive, the council’s Virtual Gift of Caring

GSLE_iGiveThe council is offering an optional new “iGive” virtual Council Gift of Caring for the 2014 Cookie Program. Customers will be able to purchase cookies for the Second Harvest Food Bank and Blue Star Mothers. The council delivers the cookies; volunteers and girls do not handle any of these boxes. While we expect this convenient program to be popular, it is just an option, and troops may still participate in the traditional Gift of Caring where the troop selects its own charity and delivers Gift of Caring cookies to the charity.  Click here to see how iGive works!
