WWII Air, Sea & Land Festival 2017
As a part of WWII Air, Sea & Land Festival, Friday, October 27, will be a special Student Day with free admission for student groups like Girl Scout troops. Troop members will take part in activities focused on both the history and science of flight as they learn about what it took to keep iconic aircraft like these soaring overhead. The ‘Sea & Land’ portion of the event includes tours of America’s only WWII Patrol Torpedo Boat, PT-305, and tanks, halftracks, and jeeps from the Museum’s collection.
When: Friday, October 27 – Sunday, October 29, 2017 (festival), student day is Friday.
Time: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: New Orleans Lakefront Airport, 6001 Stars and Stripes Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70126
Fee: Friday, October 27 is free for Girl Scout Troops that register through Shelbie Johnson by Friday, October 20. Discounted group rates will be available for pre-registered troops on Saturday and Sunday. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
