National Girls and Women in Sports Day 2018 “So You Want a Career in Athletics”

Open to all girls, ages 13 - 18 (grades 6-12)     

Have you ever wanted to work in sports? Come and learn about the different career opportunities in sports. The first half of the day will feature two interactive workshops and a question/answer session with sports industry professionals. During the second half of the day, participants will have an opportunity to go behind the scenes with Louisiana’s only female college athletic director, Dr. Kiki Baker Barnes, to get a close-up view of game day responsibilities for a college athletic director. Participants will attend the women’s basketball game and will be acknowledged at half-time.

When: Saturday, February 3, 2018
Time: 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: Dillard University, Student Union Building, 2nd Floor Ballroom, 2601 Gentilly Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70122
Fee: $35 per participant (includes two meals, as well as facilitator fees, game day ticket, and swag bag.)
Capacity: Minimum 15 /Maximum 50
