Night at the Opera: Joan of Arc
Open to girls, grades 4 - 12
Bravo, Bravo, Bravisimo. Many thanks to the New Orleans Opera Association for inviting Girl Scouts to attend their dress rehearsal once again. Be sure to join our Intro to Opera presentation at the BIG Event. At orientation, you will learn proper opera etiquette, opera history, participate in singing activities, and review upcoming operas. A more detailed version of the Intro to Opera will be held in January. It is highly encouraged that you attend an opera orientation, or have an adult who has attended the orientation provide your troop the orientation before attending performances.
Event Code: OP0402
Capacity: Minimum 25/No Maximum. Adult space is limited to two for every 10 girls attending the performances.
Registration Instructions: While we have plenty of room for adults at orientation, adult space is limited to two for every 10 girls attending the actual performances, with a minimum order of 5 student tickets. Please keep this in mind when requesting tickets -- ticket requests will only be processed for those orders which adhere to this restriction. Also, please be aware that operas often include suggestive themes and material of adult nature, but all is very moderate and done with a classic taste for performance to a live audience.
You may register online for this activity or complete and return the GSLE Program Event Registration form and fees. Final confirmations will be emailed after registration is closed.
Registration Opens: Now Deadline: January 22, 2020
