Juliette Gordon Low Leadership Luncheon

Girl Scouts Louisiana East hosted the 3rd annual Juliette Gordon Low Leadership Luncheon at the Audubon Tea Room on Thursday, October 31, 2019.  Funds raised from the event benefit programming, uniforms, event fees and camp maintenance, all critical to making the Girl Scout experience possible.

The Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans and Professional Women in Building were honored as Outstanding Organizations; Kenneth P. Carter was honored as Outstanding Man and L’Issa L. Gates, M.D. was honored as Outstanding Woman.

The event would not have been possible without the generous support from event sponsors and the many contributions and silent auction purchases made by attendees. Team Smarties from Troop 30032 and Girl Scout Troop 40150 made the luncheon especially meaningful, leading the keynote presentation and flag ceremony, respectively. New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell delivered the welcome and WDSU Meteorologist Kweilyn Murphy served as Mistress of Ceremonies. Rev. Liz Embler-Beazley of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in New Orleans led the invocation.

For those who were unable to attend the event but would like to make a gift, it's not too late.
