Fitness and healthy eating are important for a girl’s development. Girls in grades K-12 are invited to experience Girl Scouts for a Day of Healthy Living, with zumba or gardening activities, in June and July at the Girl Scouts Louisiana East Regional Service Center, 545 Colonial Drive, in Baton Rouge.
Four events are set for non-Girl Scouts and their parents to learn more about the Girl Scout Leadership experience, its Life Skills and Outdoor initiatives, and forming new troops. Girls will also learn how to live a healthier life style and have the chance to plant fresh vegetables or get their bodies moving with Zumba.
A Day of Healthy Living with zumba will be held Tuesday, June 12 and Thursday, July 12. Both session begin at 6 p.m. A Day of Healthy Living with gardening will be held Saturday, June 23 and Saturday, July 14. Both sessions begin at 12 p.m. Participants should select one activity and date.
Non-Girl Scouts and their parents are encouraged to register before the events here. A parent or guardian must be in attendance.
