Girl Scouts Louisiana East unites the best of its legacy experiences in outdoor adventure, camping, and the cookie program with exciting programming in STEM, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering and more to ensure a one-of-a-kind experience for today’s girls. LaPlace girls in grades K through 8 are invited to join and learn more about the Girl Scout Leadership Experience on Thursday, October 18 at 5:45 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Library, 2920 New Highway 51, LaPlace 70068.

The informational meeting will provide girls and their families the opportunity to ask questions and register their daughters in Girl Scouts.  Adults interested in volunteering are encouraged to join.

“We are unrivaled in our ability to deliver fresh, relevant and modern programming to girls, and it’s because we are girl-led,” said Girl Scouts Louisiana East External Recruiting Specialist, Sarah Herbert. “We’ve always gone where the girls have taken us for over a century.”

Girls can expect to discover new interests, connect with others, receive college prep and take action on issues that are important to build a lifetime of leadership.

The annual Girl Scout membership fee is $25 for both girls and adults. Favorite activities include the outdoors, health and fitness, the arts, science and technology, travel, cookie-selling, and much more. For more information about the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, visit us here.

The Girl Scout program levels are Girl Scout Daisies, grades K-1; Girl Scout Brownies, grades 2-3; Girl Scout Juniors, grades 4-5; Girl Scout Cadettes, grades 6-8; Girl Scout Seniors, grades 9-10; Girl Scouts Ambassadors, grades 11-12.
