New Orleans Girl Scouts invites families to Feb. 24 event for girls, grades K-1

Whether its planting a garden, conducting a science experiment, or just making new friends, participation in Girl Scout Daisies provides kindergarteners and first graders endless girl-led possibilities. Learn more about the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, at an informational meeting for future Girl Scout Daisies Saturday, February 24, from 1-3 p.m., at the Community Book Center, 2523 Bayou Rd., New Orleans, LA 70119.

The informational meeting will provide girls, grades K to 1, and their families the opportunity to ask questions and register their daughters as a Daisy. Adults interested in volunteering are also encouraged to register.

Girl Scouts’ has built girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place for over 100 years, and continues to prepare every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ for a life-time of leadership. Girls can expect to discover new interests, connect with others, and take action on issues that are important to them.
