Donate a tree for Arbor Day
Arbor Day to be held at Covington and CWP
Saturday, February 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Come and enjoy a day with the whole family or troop! We will be holding Arbor Day activities on Saturday, February 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Camp Covington, Camp Marydale, and Camp Whispering Pines. Help us beautify our camps while participating in Arbor Day events.
In addition to planting longleaf pine at CWP, you will be planting hardwoods as well, especially in the Pine Hollow area that was hardest hit by hurricanes Gustav and Ike. You will also collect Blue Stem seeds, the native grass found in a longleaf pine forest, which we’ll freeze and scatter the following year.
We are in need of hardwood trees for Camp Marydale, so consider donating a tree to help us with our efforts! The $5 per person fee for Marydale’s Arbor Day event will be waived IF you bring a tree from the list of needed trees we’ll send you in your confirmation letter.
Registration closes January 26 or when maximum capacity has been reached. (Capacity: 50: Cov FULL; 100: CWP; 100: Marydale CANCELLED). Lunch will not be provided so please pack a sack lunch and snack. For more information, please contact Allison Pastor at apastor@gsle.org or (504) 733-8220.
