Kelly gold awardOne of our Girl Scout Gold Award recipients and a Girl Scout since Kindergarten, Kelly O'MahoneyKelly O’Mahoney of Mandeville, was diagnosed with a very rare type of brain cancer in 2013, and her doctors believe that her best chance for survival is a clinical trial at MD Anderson hospital in Houston.

Playmakers of Covington is giving all proceeds from the March 27, 8 p.m. performance of I HATE HAMLET (an adult comedy) to a fund set up for this trial (trial will personally cost family over $200,000). Tickets are $20 each. Visit to purchase tickets and support Kelly! Her mother is Mandeville troop leader Susie O’Mahoney.

Some of you may remember participating in a postcard campaign for Kelly that was begun by the Girl Scouts of PostcardsforKellySilver Sage in Idaho last fall.  They were very much appreciated.
