Adult & Child/CPR and First Aid
Adult and Child CPR and First Aid
Troops going on a day outing need to have an adult with Level I First Aid certification. This enrichment session consists of hands-on, lecture and visual information on administering CPR and first aid to adults and children. Other emergency situations, such as choking, strokes, breathing difficulties are covered also. Successful demonstration of skills and passing of the tests will enable the participant to be a Level I First Aider.
Required for: All registered Girl Scout adults and girls (ages 14 and up) who need Level I First Aid certification.
Note: Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors cannot serve as First Aiders for a troop. If you are a medical professional serving as a Level 1 First Aider for a troop or group you are exempt from taking the course.
Capacity: Minimum 5/Maximum 10
Fee: Effective February 1, 2013 the new course fee for CPR & First Aid training is $45, as each person attending the training is required to have a booklet.
