Pet Supply Donation

  • BIG Event donation drive to benefit the GSLE Horses at Camp Marydale and area animal shelters, hosted by Katie, a Girl Scout in Covington, Louisiana. "I am hosting a Pet Supply Donation Drive as part of the Take Action portion of my Gold Award Project. My intent is to collect supplies and advocate the importance of my message, "Adopt, Don't Shop!" Fireside Chat Panelist

  • Dr. Nina Reins, Coastal Engineer with focus on Sediment Transport, and Associate at Freese and Nichols, Inc., managing the New Orleans office. Dr. Reins is originally from Germany and came to the USA as an exchange student doing an internship at a firm in Houma, Louisiana, she received her undergraduate degree at the University of Applied Science in Oldenburg, Germany, her Masters at Tulane, and her PhD from UNO. 

  • Sydney Finn, Land Steward, with The Nature Conservancy - My masters degree is in conservation biology and I am especially passionate about studying the biology of the North American coyote. As a land steward with TNC, I am responsible for managing 9 of our nature preserves all west of the Mississippi River, over 10,000 acres, of bottomland hardwood forests, longleaf pine forests, Cypress/Tupelo swamps, chenier coastal forests, and calcareous forests/prairies to name a few.

  • Taiwan Brown--Vice President, Diversity and Workforce Strategies Entergy Corporation, She leads the center of excellence within human resources to further drive the companys overall strategies in advancing diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives. Browns team supports the companys efforts to increase its presence in and partnerships with colleges and vocational-technical schools for a stronger, more viable pipeline of future talent, while expanding efforts to increase employee engagement and overall organizational health within the current workforce.
