Get energized and "Get to Know Nuclear"! See what it's like to work at a nuclear power plant and visit the Control Room simulator used for training plant operators, an exact duplicate of the real Control Room. Entergy and the Louisiana Nuclear Society will host the biennial "Get to Know Nuclear" workshop for Girl Scouts on Saturday April 20, 2024. The program is held at the River Bend Station in St. Francisville.

Nuclear professionals will lead Girl Scouts in interactive exercises and opportunities to learn about electricity production and nuclear energy. Nuclear power is a safe, stable, reliable source of low-cost electricity that contributes to America's independence from foreign energy sources and does not contribute to global warming or greenhouse gas emissions.

Nuclear is America's largest source of carbon-free electricity. Parents are welcome to attend with their Scouts. A lite lunch will be provided for the girls.
