- Families & Volunteers
Girl Scouts is about sharing the fun, friendship, and power of girls and women together. Any girl—from kindergarten through 12th grade—can join Girl Scouts. Girl Scout volunteers are also a diverse group—you may be a college volunteer working on a community-action project, a parent volunteer ready for an outdoor adventure with your daughter’s group, or any responsible adult (female or male, who have passed the necessary screening process) looking to help prime girls for the day when they’ll lead—however and wherever they choose.
Every girl has the ability to lead. But only one girl in five believes she can. A lack of role models, unhealthy images of beauty, peer pressure to not stand out and a mean girl culture are just some of the obstacles that stand between girls and their full potential. Now that you are here, girls are one step closer to breaking down those barriers.
Volunteer opportunities with Girl Scouts are tailored to fit your calendar, your skills and your interests. Your time as a volunteer will provide girls the free and safe environment they need to pursue whatever interests, causes and leadership roles that are most important to them. With your support, girls will stand up, stand out and stand tall.
Volunteering as a family is not only fun, it’s a great way to give back to your community. Plus, as a parent, you’ll be nurturing a lifelong volunteer.
Girl Scouts has moved to a family-centered model of online registration. Only adults are permitted to login to this system, and adults identified as Family Managers/Guardian 1 are able to manage their whole family with a single login.
