This summer, get outdoors at GSLE’s summer camp at Camp Marydale. When you sign up for camp, you sign up for the adventure of a lifetime as you learn new skills, practice your favorite ones, and make new friends!

Summer Camp sessions will run through June and July at Camp Marydale. We offer day camps, overnight sessions, and half-day sessions.

Community Day Camps – Open to All Youth

Girl Scouts Louisiana East welcomes all youth—boys and girls—to participate in our Community Day Camps. These camps are designed to introduce children to the fun, adventure, and leadership of Girl Scouting through hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, and skill-building in a welcoming environment.

Our overnight camp experiences remain exclusively for girls, in alignment with the Girl Scout mission of creating a safe and empowering space where girls can grow in confidence, courage, and character.

Day camps offer families a great opportunity to experience the Girl Scout movement.

Get ready to ride into summer fun at Saddle Up Adventures! This full-day camp gives campers the perfect blend of horseback riding excitement and classic Girl Scout camp adventures.

Each morning, campers will head to the barn to learn about horse care, grooming, and riding skills, building confidence in and out of the saddle. In the afternoons, they’ll enjoy traditional camp fun—arts and crafts, games, outdoor adventures, and more—creating a week filled with friendship, fresh air, and unforgettable memories.

Each morning is filled with hands-on projects like painting, jewelry making, tie-dye, nature crafts, and more—giving campers the chance to explore their creativity and try new techniques. Along the way, they’ll make new friends, express themselves, and bring home plenty of unique creations.

Half-Day Craft Camp is the perfect way to spend summer mornings immersed in creativity, fun, and friendship.

Our overnight camp sessions at Camp Marydale offer girls a chance to fully immerse themselves in the magic of camp. From campfires and cabin time to outdoor adventures and leadership-building activities, girls build confidence, independence, and lifelong friendships in a supportive, all-girl environment. These experiences are designed to help girls unplug, try new things, and discover just how capable they truly are!

Pack your bags and get ready for a weekend full of connection, laughter, and camp adventures at Me and My Gal Weekend Camp! This special session is designed for campers and their favorite grown-up gal—whether that’s mom, grandma, aunt, or another important person in their life.

The fun begins Friday evening as you settle into camp and ease into a cozy night together. Saturday is all about making memories—enjoy outdoor activities, crafts, games, and time to explore everything Camp Marydale has to offer. Sunday morning wraps up with a relaxed send-off and plenty of smiles.

Me and My Gal Weekend Camp is the perfect way to spend a weekend outdoors, sharing new experiences, and creating lasting memories together.

Pony Tails - Overnight Camp

$60 Girl, $45 Adult- 20 max

Open to Juniors and Adults

Riding a horse is one of the most exciting things you can do. But ask any good horseback rider her secret to success and she'll say that understanding a horse is as important as learning to ride one.

During this fabulous weekend, members of our Wrangler/Spur program will share with you the basics of horseback riding, teach you how to take care of a horse and about horse safety, prepare you for your ride, practice your ride, and take you out on a trail ride, if weather permits!

Girl Scout Juniors that complete all activities and skills from the event will earn the Horseback Riding Badge!

Special note: When signing up multiple members of a troop, at least 1 but no more than 3 registered and background checked adult volunteers from the troop must also sign up. Also, every effort will be made for troops to lodge together, however, daytime rotation groups will be assigned for the best fit of horse and rider. This means that your troop will likely be in different rotation groups for the day.

Attending adults will be assigned to a group as well and are expected to stay with that group during the daytime activities.

Me and My Pal - Overnight Camp

Grab your best buddy and get ready for a weekend full of fun, food, and camp adventures at Me and My Pal Weekend Camp! This special weekend is perfect for campers and their favorite grown-up pal—whether that’s dad, grandpa, uncle, or another important person in their life.

The fun kicks off Friday evening as you settle into camp and gear up for a weekend packed with laughter and adventure. Saturday is filled with outdoor activities, games, and a friendly Chili Cook-Off, where duos can show off their best recipes and enjoy some delicious competition. The day wraps up with classic campfire fun and plenty of bragging rights for the winning team. Sunday morning ends on a high note with a warm send-off and full hearts.

Me and My Pal Weekend Camp is the perfect mix of outdoor excitement, quality time, and tasty fun, creating memories you’ll be talking about all year long.

Family Camping Weekend- Overnight Camp

$45 per person

Open to all families

Grab the crew and get ready for a weekend of outdoor fun at Family Camping Weekend! This special session is the perfect opportunity for families to spend quality time together while enjoying everything Camp Marydale has to offer.

The weekend kicks off Friday evening as families settle into camp and unwind under the stars. Saturday is full of adventure—canoeing and kayaking, archery, hiking, crafts, games, and campfire fun—with plenty of time to relax and explore at your own pace. On Sunday morning, everyone gathers one last time to wrap up a weekend filled with laughter and lasting memories.

Family Camping Weekend is the perfect mix of adventure, connection, and time together in the great outdoors.

Deposit- There will be a $50 non-refundable deposit. Balance is due three weeks before the camp session begins.

Program Selection
Please select a program based on your camper's grade in the fall. Registration is based on your camper's grade in the fall and not the current grade. If a program indicates that it is Sold Out, you will need to make another selection. We have a limited amount of waitlisted spots built into each program, so if a program reads as being full, both active and waitlisted spots are no longer available.

(Cookie Dough/Nutty Bucks) If using program credits, please contact customer care at customercare@gsle.org, please provide the card information, dollar amount being used, card number, the three digit code (if provided).

Waitlisted
If we are unable to move your camper into the program, camper fees will be refunded in full. If we are able to move your camper into a program, you will receive an e-mail notification. Additionally, the status will be updated in your MYGS account in your Event Dashboard, where you will be able to access your camper's camp registration at any time.

Camp Forms and Parent Handbook
Camp forms and the parent handbook are located on your MyGS account. Once you log into your MyGS, click on My Events, click on the camp session, the forms are located under Additional Documentation. All camp forms must be emailed to cmdirector@gsle.org, no later than three weeks before camp session. If you do not see the camp forms please contact customercare@gsle.org.

Any active registered Girl Scout in Girl Scouts Louisiana East may apply for camp funding assistance to attend one camp session.

Camp Counselors toggle arrow

Camp Counselors

Our counselors are selected based on their program skills, maturity, education, caring attitude, and experience with children. Counselors are primarily college students, both female and male, with male counselors housed in separate quarters. Program areas, such as ropes course, horses, swimming and boating, are directed by certified and trained staff. All of our staff must successfully complete pre-camp staff training, pass background screening, and become members of Girl Scouts of the USA.

Camp Accreditation

Girl Scouts Louisiana East's Camp Marydale and Camp Covington are both accredited by the American Camp Association. Accreditation means that each camp undergoes a thorough review process yearly by outside camping professionals, and every five years a site visit is conducted. Our Girl Scout camps consistently achieve the highest standards in all areas of accreditation, including, personnel, program, site administration, and health care.

Health Form

The Camper Health Examination Record must be filled out for all campers participating in Resident Camp. Portions of this form MUST be completed by a practicing physician. Please email the completed form to cmdirector@gsle.org no later than three weeks before camp session.
