GUMBO Weekend - Volunteer Camping Experience
Our second annual GUMBO Weekend October 2-4, 2026, welcomes volunteers from across the council to enjoy a fun, welcoming, and restorative retreat at camp. Participants can chose how they spend their time at this overnight event ranging from outdoor activities and creative projects to quiet relaxation, conversation, and simply enjoying being together in nature. This weekend creates a much needed space for connection and laughter allowing volunteers to recharge and reconnect with why Girl Scouts matters to them.
Current members, alum, or longtime volunteers are welcome to spend the night and make memories in the spirit of Girl Scouting for Gumbo Weekend. Register now, hurry spots are limited.
What to Expect
- Gather - Connect with fellow Girl Scout volunteers and leaders.
- Upgrade - Learn new skills or refresh old ones through exciting training opportunities.
- Make Memories - Enjoy time with friends around the campfire, complete with s'mores.

- Outdoors - Embrace camp traditions and nature while leaving inspired and renewed.
