GSLE Day Camps Sponsored by Art Academy at the DreamLab

Girl Scouts Louisiana East Council is happy to announce we are partnering with Art Academy (16113 LA HWY 44, Suite B, Prairieville, La, 70769) to offer Art Days Camp at our GSLE DreamLab in Gonzales.

Art Academy will offer a creative, hands-on summer camp experience designed just for your Girl Scouts. Over four imaginative days (Monday-Thursday), campers will dive into a themed collection of art projects that inspire confidence, creativity, and collaboration. Art Academy instructors specialize in guiding young artists with warmth, structure, and fun-ensuring every Scout feels supported and engaged. Girls will have the opportunity to express themselves in different art forms like: Canvas paintings, Air-dry clay sculptures, and/or Mixed media and collage. Girls will take home their art creations when they are completed.

Girls in 1st grade through 4th grade for the 2026-2027 school year can register. Attend one or both camps. The first camp will be held June 1st-June 4th, and another camp session will be held July 6th-9th. Both camps will be held from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm each day*.

Troops are encouraged to sign up and have your adult volunteers carpool for the camps. Does your daughter know a girl who is not a Girl Scout (yet)? She can sign up as well to find out all the fun things Girl Scouts do.

FAST Camp Code STEM DreamLab Day Camp

Our one-week summer camp takes girls "behind the screens" to ignite their curiosity about the exciting world of technology.

Campers build mobile apps and explore how STEM can bring ideas to life.

Sew Easy Sew Fun DreamLab Day Camp

Sewing, a valuable skill to learn! Mrs. Aline has been teaching at this camp for years! During this camp Girl Scouts will learn how to use a sewing machine as they create handcrafted pillowcases, drawstring bags and other projects. They will also learn the craft of sewing by hand for small projects like sewing on buttons.

Girls will complete a service project activity in which they will donate one of the drawstring bags to a local organization. They are encouraged to bring items such as book, colors, personal items, etc. to fill the bags.

Girls get to keep their handmade creations. The fee includes lunch, fabric, thread, patch, and other needed supplies. We will provide sandwich lunches with a variety of healthy sides.

This event is for Juniors and above (4th graders and above for the 2026-2027 school year).

We are looking for some adults to help with the event. Please contact Aline Jacobs @ cadet@eatel.net.

Things to consider

  • Make this a Troop event. See if guardians of girls can take turns carpooling to get the girls to the GSLE DreamLab each day.
  • What if my daughter is not a Girl Scout, that is okay, we would love to have her. Sign up individually or with your friend who is a Girl Scout already.
  • Need the option to drop off earlier than 10 am or picked up after 3 pm, we will work with you. Contact Tracy at tyoes@gsle.org to work on the details. No extra fee involved.

Beginner Quilting Workshop DreamLab Day Camp

Girls will learn to operate a domestic sewing machine and become well-versed in sewing terminology. Girls will learn basic quilting techniques and terms. They will create their very own lap sized quilt.

No prior sewing knowledge required, the girls get to keep their handmade creations.

This event is for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (6th graders and above for the 2026-2027 school year).
