Open to girls, grades 6-12, Adults
Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors have the an opportunity to engage deeply in high-adventure outdoor activities. Trailblazers develop skills in orienteering, survival camping, trail hiking, sports, and environmental stewardship. This will be the first of upcoming Trailblazing opportunities.
Girls and their designated Girl Scout adults who want to forgo Mardi Gras parades to go hiking will meet at a designated Tunica Hills location starting at 8:30 am. Confirmation emails will go out by February 12th with the more details. Please no younger tag alongs, this is a special opportunity for our older Girl Scouts.
NOTES: Adults attending will need to get their own WMA Access Permit (https://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/page/wmarefugeconservation-area-licenses-and-permits) prior to the event.
LOCATION: Tunica Hills, West Feliciana Parish
TIME: 9am - 2pm
FEE: No charge to attend the event. Participants will need to provide their own transportation to and from Tunic Hills. Provide their own hiking gear (proper shoes, lunch, snacks, water, etc). A confirmation email will be sent out with details of what to wear, what to expect and where to meet.
