Cookies Donation

The council offers an optional Virtual Cookie Share for the Cookie Program, with cookies going to Baton Rouge Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Blue Star Mothers.

The council delivers the cookies; volunteers and girls do not handle any of these boxes.

More Info

Many Girl Scout troops participate in Cookie Share, a community service project in which girls encourage customers to buy cookies for donation to a non-profit organization selected by the troop. This year, over 600 cases of cookies were donated to more than 200 local community organizations and non-profits, such as the Ronald McDonald House in New Orleans, the Bishop Ott Women and Children’s Shelter in Baton Rouge, MacDonnell Children's Services in Houma, local food banks, firefighters, police, and hospitals, as well as a significant number of cookies going to military men and women serving overseas, sending them through organizations like Operation We Care and Blue Star Mothers of LA, as well as to units where Girl Scouts had family members and friends.

Rewards

Recognitions are known as incentives or rewards and include items like patches, T-shirts, Cookie Dough (what we call our Council credits), and more!

Top awards include a free week at resident camp, an event with our CEO, and more!

2027 Service Unit Proceeds toggle arrow

2026 Service Unit Proceeds

Service Units that grow their initial order 5% or more earn bonus proceeds per case of cookies. Note: If a Service Unit grows their entire sale they will be paid on the entire sale. If a Service Unit grows only their initial order they will only be paid on their initial order.

SU initial order increased by 5% - 9.99% receive $0.06 per case.

SU initial order increased by 10% + receive $0.12 per case.

Requirements:

SUA or SUCM must attend cookie training.
SU must grow their initial order by at least 5% over the previous year's initial order.
SU must host a Cookie Rally with 30% of SU’s membership attending.
ALL final paperwork must be turned in on time with NO collection issues.

Troop Proceeds Structure

Proceed Plans are PGA (Per Girl Average) based as follows:

1 – 99 packages PGA = $0.70 per package

100 – 199 packages PGA = $0.75 per package

200+ packages PGA = $0.80 per package

Proceeds without Incentives are only available for Junior Troops and above and are also PGA (Per Girl Average) based as follows:

1 to 99 packages PGA = $0.80 per package

100 – 199 packages PGA = $0.85 per package

200+ packages PGA = $0.95 per package

GSLE Cookie Dough Details

GSLE Cookie Dough can be used in our physical shop or for activity/program/camping fees/membership fees. (excludes Early Bird Registration).

GSLE Cookie Dough cannot be used for online purchases. Cookie Dough expires September 30 after the Cookie Season from which it was rewarded.

Proceeds Only Reward Plan (Proceeds with No Incentives) toggle arrow

Troops opting out of incentives will receive additional proceeds per box. See chart below.

NOTE: Girls WILL receive a participation patch for selling 25 or more boxes when choosing this plan. Girl Scouts will not receive any tangible rewards for this level. Proceeds for Junior troops and above who do not select Incentives have increased this year:

1 to 99 packages PGA = $0.80 per package

100 - 199 packages PGA = $0.85 per package

200+ packages PGA = $0.95 per package

2027 Individually Registered Member (Juliette) Rewards toggle arrow

Individually Registered Members (IRMs) will earn rewards from the Main Recognition Plan in lieu of troop proceeds.

IRMs will earn a GSLE Gift Card based on their total number of boxes sold. GSLE Gift Cards earned during the 2025 season will expire on September 30, 2028 and can be used at the local shop or for membership/activity/program/camping fees.

37 – 60 boxes	$25
61 – 84 boxes	$30
85 – 108 boxes	$40
109 – 132 boxes	$50
133 – 168 boxes	$75
169 – 204 boxes	$95

For every 24 boxes sold after 204, IRMs earn an additional $10, starting at $95

Fall Product Participation Cookie Rebate toggle arrow

Troops that participate in Fall Product by selling at least 20 items qualify for an additional $0.02 per box rebate! The rebates will be calculated after cookie season ends and will be sent to troop bank accounts as a separate ACH deposit.

Troops that still owe money to the council for cookie season forfeit their Fall Product Participation Cookie Rebate.
