Congratulations on making a great decision to become a Girl Scout volunteer. For those of you continuing your involvement with our organization, thank you!
Girl Scouts Louisiana East offers many free learning opportunities
to thank our volunteers and to help them gain the knowledge, skills,
and confidence to successfully facilitate a meaningful and safe Girl
Scout experience. Though most courses are free, some may include a
nominal expense for books, certifications, or supplies necessary to
complete the course.
Learning opportunities come in many
forms: face to face, e-learning (gsLearn), online resources,
discussions, conferences and more. After completing the required
courses for your volunteer position, please continue your learning
experience by selecting enrichment courses offered throughout the
year.

How to Register for Volunteer Training
To register, first go to www.gsle.org and login to your “MY GS” account. Click on the tab called “My Events.” Then, click the link to “Register for Another Event.” You can search for the training by zip code and filter using key words. Alternately, after you are logged in, you can return to our website and click on the registration link in the training tab. Follow the prompts to sign up and make payments (if any).

Read the course descriptions to determine what courses you need to take. Check for prerequisites and any other requirements. Be sure to plan ahead for what you might need later in the year. Please register before the course deadline as they do fill up. Pre-registration is mandatory because space is limited, sessions are sometimes cancelled, or details change and we will need to contact you.
If you are interested in a training that is not listed in the Events page, please request information by sending an email to the designated staff member or to customercare@gsle.org.
Confirmation
You should receive a confirmation that you
are in the class by email. Please print the confirmation and bring
it to class. The session facilitator may ask for your
confirmation. If you do not have your printed confirmation and are not
on the roster, you may be asked to reschedule for a later date!
Also, if you do not register by the course deadline you may not receive your confirmation in time. If you haven’t heard about your acceptance into a class and are in doubt, please call Customer Care at 504-733-8220.
Cancelation Policy
Please notify us at least 24 hours
before the class if you are not going to attend – payments will not be
transferred or refunded unless we receive prior notification of your cancellation.
