Everything in Girl Scouting is based on the Girl Scout Promise and Law, which include many principles and values that are common across religions. Girl Scouts are welcoming and inclusive to members of all faiths. Because we understand that religious instruction is at the center of many families and communities, we invite Girl Scouts to take a spiritual journey via a My Promise, My Faith workshop.
The My Promise, My Faith pin invites girls in grades K-12 to experience a faith journey through exploration of the Girl Scout Law and teachings from their faith. Girls can earn this national pin each year. This event is open to all Girl Scouts regardless of faith denomination/house of worship.
Come see how members can connect their faith with their Girl Scouting activities. Join us in Houma on July 30th. Please note we are looking for female Pastors/Ministers/Youth Directors, etc., to share their faith with our girls, please contact Tracy Yoes (tyoes@gsle.org) for more info.
Please note: If girls have bridged to their next level, they should wait till after the new membership year starts to earn that year's pin.
