This summer, get outdoors at GSLE’s overnight resident camp at Camp Marydale. When you sign up for camp, you sign up for the adventure of a lifetime as you learn new skills, practice your favorite ones, and make new friends!
Summer Resident Camp sessions will run throughout the months of June and July. Space is limited for campers currently in grades 1-12, so don't wait to get your girl registered.

Make New Friends
Daisies and Brownies - open to
girls entering grades 2 and 3
Go on a nature hike, roast
marshmallows over the fire you helped to build, take a dip in the
pool, and paddle around the lake with the help of some older campers.
Upon session completion, Brownies are eligible for the Outdoor Adverturer badge.
Pony Express
Daisies and Brownies - open to girls
entering grades 2 and 3
Our Equestrian team is ready to help
you, the horseback -riding beginner, you'll get to groom your new best
friend, give them a colorful makeover and go on a pony ride in our
arena. Come join us and our four-legged friends for this exciting
session! Brownies will earn the Pets badge.

Juniors - open to girls
entering grades 4 and 5
It's time for some science shenanigans!
Experiment with slime, create a soda geyser, paint using air, and
discover the Fibonacci sequence during this hands-on interactive
session while enjoying traditional camp activities! Girls will earn
the Product Designer badge upon completion.
Ready to Ride
Brownies and Juniors - open to girls entering grades 4 and
5
Channel your inner cowgirl and let's giddy up! Learn the
basics of western riding, horse safety, grooming techniques, and even
hit the trail. When not in the saddle, you'll have a blast with new
friends participating in camp activities like crafts and swimming.
When you go home, you will get to show off your brand new Horseback
Riding outdoor badge--you've earned it!
Saddle Club
Juniors and Cadettes Cadettes - open to girls entering grades
6-8
Saddle Club, designed especially for those girls who are
eager to train to become a Ranch Hand. You will spend the week
learning the ropes by assisting the Ranch Hands and riding staff at
the barn, caring for the horses and in your spare time, riding!
Formerly Spurs-in-Training. The focus of this program is not
riding--it is learning leadership skills.
CMD and the Tri-Camper Tournament
Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors - open to girls
entering grades 6-8
Ever dream of going to a school of
witchcraft and wizardry to compete in the Tri-Wizard Tournament? Start
by getting sorted into your houses and then compete for house points
throughout the week. In addition to potions, herbology, and
Quidditch, you and your friends will participate in the Tri-Camper
Tournatment, a magical day of wizard games. Wands at the ready! Girls
will earn the Good Sportsmanship badge upon completion.
CIT 1
Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors - open to girls entering
grades 9-12
Have you always dreamed of being a summer camp staff
member? Welcome to the Counselor in Training (CIT) program! This
session gives girls a chance to start developing skills as future camp
counselors. Learn counseling and leadership skills, behavior
management techniques, role-play situations, and new songs. You will
learn to help with camp actvities, work with younger campers and cof
course, have fun!
Barn Aide
Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors - open to girls entering
grades 9-12
Are you looking for a way to spend your summer with
the Marydale's horses? Spend several, or all weeks at the Camp
Marydale barn sprucing up the teaching methods you already know,
establishing your leadership and descision making skills, and leading
trail rides. Send an email to Kaylee Pendergrass at
kpendergrass@gsle.org to schedule an interview for the Barn Aide
position. The focus of this program is not riding--it is learning
leadership skills.
Ranch Hands
Cadettes, Seniors and Amabassadors - open to girls entering
grades 9-12
Discover your leadership and horsemanship
potential. Explore the basics of assisting the riding program at
Marydale. You will spend a week learning the ropes by assisting the
riding staff at the barn, caring for the horses and, in your spare
time, riding! Previously WIT I. The focus of this program is not
riding--it is learning leadership skills.

Deposit: There will be a $50 non-refundable deposit. Balance is due three weeks before the camp session begins.
Program Selection: Please select a program based on your camper's grade in the fall. Registration is based on your camper's grade in the fall and not the current grade. If a program indicates that it is Sold Out, you will need to make another selection. We have a limited amount of waitlisted spots built into each program, so if a program reads as being full, both active and waitlisted spots are no longer available.
Financial Assistance: Any active registered Girl Scout in Girl Scouts Louisiana East may apply for camp fee assistance to attend one camp session. Please CLICK HERE to download the form complete the Girl Scout Camp Financial Assistance Request form and email it to jpollard@gsle.org by April 15th. All financial assistance request must have a $50 deposit.
Program Credits: (Cookie Dough/Nutty Bucks) If using program credits, please contact customer care at customercare@gsle.org, please provide the card information, dollar amount being used, card number, the three digit code (if provided).
Waitlisted: If we are unable to move your camper into the program, camper fees will be refunded in full. If we are able to move your camper into a program, you will receive an e-mail notification. Additionally, the status will be updated in your MYGS account in your Event Dashboard, where you will be able to access your camper's camp registration at any time.
Camp Forms and Parent Handbook: Camp forms and the parent handbook are located on your MyGS account. Once you log into your MyGS, click on My Events, click on the Keep Calm and Camp On camp session, the forms are located under Additional Documentation. All camp forms must be emailed to cmdirector@gsle.org, no later than three weeks before camp session. If you do not see the camp forms please contact customercare@gsle.org.
Drop Off/Pick Up: Drop off is Sunday at 3 pm, pick up is Friday at 3 pm. For the three day camp session, drop off is, Sunday at 3 pm and pick up is Tuesday at 3 pm or Wednesday at 3 pm and pick up is Friday at 3 pm.
Camp Merchandise -- Parents: Make check in day at camp a breeze and complete your campers care package order and trading post account at the time of registration! We will confirm your purchases at check in, and your camper will be on their way to fun! The trading post is our camp store, where girls can buy snacks, and small souvenirs items such as stuffed animals, sunglasses, fans, flashlights and other camp themed gear to remind them of their time at camp. Girls will spend the entire amount placed into their trading post account. Parents can load any amount into the girls trading post ($25 is the average amount put into the camper's trading post account).
