Most parish libraries in the GSLE Council area have Makerspaces. The Donaldsonville Parish Library in Ascension Parish has offered to train GSLE Volunteers with Ascension Parish Library cards* (*see note below) on the Laser Printer on January 31. We will also get info on the other Makerspace resources.
There is limited spaces so sign up now. We will try and put some more training on the books - especially when the new St. Amant parish library opens up.
Not a resident of Ascension parish, contact the Donaldsonville Library (225-473-8052) to see if you are eligible to get a card and/or if you can use their facilities. Example: if you live in another parish but work in Ascension you can get an Ascension library card.
The training is for adults only, sorry school age Girl Scouts can not sign up.
Possible Troop projects: Making your own troop t-shirts, making SWAPS, making buttons and so much more.
