Open to girls, grades 6-8 (Cadettes)
Picture this: you nock (place) an arrow onto a bow, hook your fingers around the string, draw it back, take aim, and release BULLSEYE! Archery is an exciting sport that requires strength, focus, proper form, and practice.
During this session, Girl Scout Cadettes will develop foundational archery skills while learning proper safety procedures and shooting techniques on our archery obstacle range. By the end of the session, participants will complete the requirements for the Cadette Archery Badge.
In the afternoon, Cadettes will work collaboratively to earn their Woodworking Badge. Girls will learn basic woodworking skills and safe tool use as they design and build archery target stands. These stands will be used at both camps to hold paper targets, allowing girls to continue practicing their archery skills and share their accomplishments with others. Lunch will be provided.
