Open to girls, grades 6-12, adults
Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors can join GSLE Trailblazers when we visit the French Quarter Visitor Center, part of the National Historical Park and Preserves in Louisiana.
We will tour the facility and work to earn the Jean Lafitte Junior Ranger patch. After that we will meet up at McFadden Cabin in City Park for a picnic lunch. We will continue Trailblazing by completing the 5-mile City Park Trail.
Everyone provides their own transportation and lunch. Meet us at Jean Lafitte Center for 10 am*. We will meet at McFadden Cabin for 12 pm for lunch. The 5-mile City Park Trail will start at 1:30 pm.
Please register for this event. The fee $5 covers the cost of the GSLE McFadden 5-mile City Park Trail patch (registered adults will get the patch too).
Please note Jean Lafitte Center is in the French Quarter and McFadden Cabin is in City Park.
*Note: depending on the weather forecast for the day - we might do the hike first and Jean Lafitte in the afternoon.
