Open to girls, grades 6-12, adults
This spring, our CSA Trailblazers will be venturing to Mississippi to explore the Mississippi Petrified Forest and visit our Sister Girl Scout camp -Camp Wahi in the GS Greater Mississippi Council! All Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Girl Scouts are invited to register.
On Saturday, April 18th we will meet up in Hammond to caravan. We will take a snack break at Percy Quinn State Park before heading to the Petrified Forrest in Flora MS for hiking and Gem Mining Flum. Then we will head to Camp Wahi in Brandon MS for a pizza party and overnight camping.
Sunday activities will be decided collectively by those who sign up but may include archery, canoeing or hiking. Please note, if not signing up as a Troop, individual girls (registered Girl Scout) will need to contact Tracy in advance to ensure vehicle space is available and adult to scout ratios are met.
Everyone is responsible for their own transportation. Participants must attend one of two Zoom meetings prior to the event. The Zoom meeting will be an opportunity to interact with your fellow Girl Scouts as well as assign Kapers for the event.
The $30 includes entrance fee at the Petrified Forest and Gym Fluming, Saturday supper, water, overnight camping at Camp Wahi, Sunday breakfast, and a fun patch for all girls.
Individuals are responsible for providing their own Saturday picnic lunch, $2 entrance fee for Percy Quinn State park, personal snacks, and Sunday lunch on the way home.
Please note we used the GSLE DreamLab as the address for this event, but we will meet up in Hammond to caravan to Mississippi.
