Perfect for horse-loving campers who want a fun and focused riding experience, Horsin' Around Half-Day Horse Camp is all about mornings at the barn.

Each day, campers will learn the basics of horse care, grooming, and riding through hands-on experiences that build confidence in and out of the saddle. In addition to riding lessons, they'll enjoy horse-themed games and activities that make every morning an adventure.

This Half-Day Horse Camp is a wonderful way for new and experienced riders alike to spend their summer mornings-learning, growing, and making memories with their favorite four-legged friends.

Event Details

  • Location: Camp Marydale, 10317 Marydale Rd., St. Francisville, LA 70775
  • Date/Time: July 6-10, 2026, 8:30 am - 1 pm, daily
  • Fee: $150 per camper
  • Financial Assistance: Any active registered Girl Scout in Girl Scouts Louisiana East may apply for camp fee assistance to attend one camp session. Complete and submit the 2026 Camp Funding Request form (2026 Camp Funding Request) no later than April 15th to be eligible for first round allocations.  A $50 deposit is required to receive financial assistance.
