Girl Scouts Louisiana East Council is hyped up about our Girl Scouts visiting our State Parks! If at least one Girl Scout is in her GS uniform or GS Troop shirt is in a vehicle entering a state park - everyone in the vehicle gets in free for Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend! So, grab your troop mates and/or your family and get outdoors! Our State Parks are an invaluable resource for all Louisiana residents, but especially Girl Scouts, to experience the wonder of nature while staying close to home.
Whether you choose to have a picnic, go for a hike, take part in activities led by GSLE Girl Scouts (specific parks/historic sites) or just spend the day hanging out in nature, this is your event!
When you click register, you will see that we have different sessions listed for you to sign up for. We have sessions for specific State Parks and Historic Sites that will have Girl Scouts leading activities. There is a session listed for all the other State Parks and Historic Sites in our GSLE boundaries that do not have GS leading activities that you might want to visit.

New this year you can purchase a GSLE's Girl Scouts Love State Parks fun patch. The patches are $2.00 each. To purchase patches, select your intended State Park/Historic site. If you choose another State Park/Historic Site - you will pick up your patch(es) from the GSLE DreamLab).
To pick up you patch at the designate Park/Site, you must preorder by Tuesday, September 8th 4 pm. If ordered after that date/time Tracy Yoes will email you about getting your patch from the GSLE DreamLab.
Audubon Historic Site in St. Francisville - Audubon Historic Site in St. Francisville - Girl Scout Troop 10040 will be at the site: Sunday, September 13th from 11 am to 1 pm. Find the GSLE Troop Volunteer Liaison to pick up patches.
Bayou Segnette in Westwego - Girl Scout Troop 46033 will be at the site on Saturday, September 12th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Please note this park will have a bridging ceremony in the evening (See GSLE Calendar for details). Find the GSLE Troop Volunteer Liaison to pick up patches.
Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton - Girl Scout Troop 30017 will be at the site on Saturday, September 12th from 9 am to 12 pm. Find the GSLE Troop Volunteer Liaison to pick up patches.
Fairview-Riverside in Madisonville - Troop 30049 will be at the site on Saturday, September 12th from 10 am to 12 pm. Find the GSLE Troop Volunteer Liaison to pick up patches.
Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville - Service Unit 381 Troops will be at the site on Sunday, September 13th from 2 pm to 4 pm. Find the GSLE Troop Volunteer Liaison to pick up patches.
Tickfaw State Park in Springfield - GSLE Task Force members will be at the site Saturday, September. 12th from 9 am to Sunday, September. 13th from 9 am to 3 pm. Find the GSLE Troop Volunteer Liaison to pick up patches.
Port Hudson Historic Site in Port Hudson--SU 147, Troop will be at the site, Saturday, September 12th, 9 am - 12 pm. Find the GSLE Troop Volunteer Liaison to pick up patches.
All other State Parks within the GSLE Council boundaries--If you want to purchase a fun patch you will need to pick it up at the GSLE DreamLab no later than September 30, 2026.
