Girl Scouts Louisiana East (GSLE) honored the five members of the 2023 Girl Scout Gold Award class, who made a sustainable impact addressing causes they care about in southeast Louisiana communities, at an event on Tuesday sponsored by Argent Trust Company.
The event was held at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters in New Orleans City Park. This year’s earners were Ariana Blagrove from Ursuline Academy; Aimee Guillory from Academy of Our Lady; Christina Jackson from Northshore High School; Calcea Johnson from St. Mary’s Academy; and Kamryn Rouse from Mandeville High School.
“We want to send a special congratulations to our 2023 Gold Award Class,” said Rebecca Pennington, CEO of Girl Scouts Louisiana East. “As always, we are grateful for the support of the Girl Scout community in southeast Louisiana for continuing to help us produce girls of courage, confidence and character. These Gold Award earners have bright futures ahead, and we cannot wait to see their future successes.”
Guests were treated to a keynote address by GSLE Board Member-at-Large Kathryn Collins. In addition, Rebecca Marcel, Southeast Division Assistant Vice President of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary, honored all five Gold Award Earners.
