Dear Girl Scouts,
On October 19, 2024, Girl Scouts of the USA and the National Board had the privilege of holding the first-ever special session of our National Council, where girl and adult delegates, representing councils across the country, discussed and voted on proposals regarding our national membership dues.
The National Council approved national membership dues of $65 for girls phased in with $45 for Membership Year 2026 and $65 for Membership Year 2027 and $30 for adults. There is no change to the national membership dues for the current membership year.
National Council Sessions represent the best of our dynamic democratic process—one that is for Girl Scouts, by Girl Scouts. We appreciate the dedication and commitment of our delegates as they carried out their responsibility to prepare in advance, debate, and decide our path forward. We applaud them for passing these proposals and choosing to invest in girls, their potential, and the promise of Girl Scouting.
Through the strategy process, we determined initiatives that would close gaps and help us execute our strategy. Our commitment is to work with our councils to prioritize these initiatives and accelerate those that will have the greatest impact on our volunteers and our girls, aligned with the available investment in each of the coming years.
Together, we are building a strong and enduring future for today’s Girl Scouts and future generations to come.
